On My Own: Part 2

So when I was originally walking up to that temple, this was the first thing I saw.  It was intriguing.

I came around the corner and saw rows and rows and rows of these statues with little red hats. And red neck ties. And wind things.

The wind would pick up and they would all start turning.  It was a beautiful and peaceful sight.

The sign said that they are for the safety of children and a memorial for babies that miscarried or were still born.

I saw some statues had clothes and wondered if that was from a child that had passed away.

Or maybe a child that is sick and needs extra thought.

This sat with me as I explored that morning.  It called to me.  So before I left for the Tokyo Tower, I purchased a hat.

And I prayed while I held it in front of this statue.  I prayed for the people I knew who suffered a miscarriage or still born.  I prayed for sick children. I prayed for my children.  And I felt happy.

I left that area with peace in my heart.

I found the tower with no trouble or side trip.

The top part is under construction, so I could only go halfway up.  I knew that ahead of time.

So the picture is of me and 'Dave'.  He is in the tall building behind me.

Now a Family photo with the kids!!!

It has the hole in the floor to see straight down.

After I left, they drop you off in a souvenir shop.  On like the 3rd floor.  So I had no idea where I was. But found a market spot with some good gift ideas.  And a food court!!

Have I mentioned I love the plastic food to show you what there is?

Picture from below the tower.

I decided I would walk back to the hotel.  It was about 25 mins and it was a beautiful day.

I got to take pictures of how everything is tiny. Or compact here. The buildings are narrow.

Look at this delivery truck!!  And I still need a picture of the cute garbage trucks!!

Walked past Dave's building.  Hi Dave!!

Stopped at 7/11 for cold water and beer.

When Dave was done work, he came back to the hotel.  We decided to go for ramen noodles again. At the same chain we had the first day.

Beside the restaurant was this little pet shop with adorable puppies and a few kittens.  And one of these cats!  With no fur!!!  I've never seen one!  Only on TV!!

Because it was just the two of us, we got the individual booths.  But beside each other.

It comes with your own cold water dispenser!!!  It was heaven!!!

If you ever go here...and I highly recommend it....this is how you order more noodles if you want them.  Circle on the paper and put your money on the paper and then press this red button.  They come, roll up the shade, take your money and paper and bring back your food.

Dave ordered extra noodles.

And some more nightlife on our walk home.

  1. Oh my Tharen, you literally had me crying and laughing all within a span of 3 minutes. I am loving the blog but I love even more that you bought a red hat. I hope my travels take me there too, so I can see it myself.
    Thanks my friend! xoxoxo
