Instead of venturing out for breakfast, Dave went to a little store and brought back some food. The 'loaf' of bread has 5 slices. The jam poured out like liquid. The kiwi yogurt was very tasty.
Which reminded me I forgot to share the Kiwi Fanta we got from the vending machine the day before.
Because of Typhoon Tamil, we knew it would be an indoor day, so we headed by bus and monorail/train, don't know what to call it, to Miraikan, The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation. The ride alone was worth the trip. The train goes out over the water by this bridge.
I think we were on an island? I have to check that out still. So we get there and get into this line. Wow! People in Japan like their Science!!
Nope, this was the last weekend for this exhibition of The Art of Disney - The Magic of Animation. It was so busy!!!
The museum itself was futuristic. All of the displays were interactive...and I'm gonna admit, I didn't understand a lot of it. Not because of language, everything was available in English too, but it was a lot of interesting and detailed science. But the activities we're still fun, even with the lack of understanding.
This one, you had to trace a path through good and bad spots to get to the end. The idea was trying to save the world from global warming, disease, etc. I lost badly. Didn't even make it over the first hill.
See my m
This ginormous ball was playing videos somehow. This was showing weather Patterson over 90 days.
This game....no idea. You go in and this circle is under you and pints with arrows to different areas. See Dave has a blue circle. There are shadow hands that shake as you pass by other people.
At one point the wall lit up and played this dance for me. See my initials? No idea why....
You found these stations and these eyes would talk to you in this haunting horror movie type voice. Seriously. No idea what I learned there...but in it's own way it was fun.
The absolute coolest was the 10 min show with ASIMO, The robot. Seriously cool.
The next floor had an International Space Station for us to walk in.
And speaking of toilets, here is the options at the public washroom at this museum. A flushing sound for the nervous person? I'm 'bummed' I didn't try the sound. There was a line up and I thought playing with the toilet was not polite.
When I said it feels futuristic here, it is a mixture of the science, like the museum, versus any back home I've been to. But the buildings, and their subway/train/monorail system. It's amazing! But you see trains everywhere, like you would in a movie. No flying cars. Yet...
Even the ordering of food by machine before you go into the restaurant.
Walking around with all the big signs and flashy lights and there is always music or someone talking over a speaker as we walk through the city. When we get back to the hotel I'm exhausted from our exploring, but also from the constant stuff. But then walking into that park yesterday with the shrine was so lovely and peaceful. Nature at it's best.

I wish I was there with you... I feel like we would notice all the same stuff. LOL
